Student assistant wanted / Studentische Hilfskraft gesucht
We are looking for a student assistant (m/f/d) to support administration and research in the project Confronting the Rise of Right-wing Authoritarianism: The Role of Trade Unions in Building Counter-strategies and Counter-movements, which is part of the section Global Political Economy of Labour under Consideration of Gender Relations.
Starting date: 01.06.2026
Duration: 12 months with possible extension
Working hours: approximately 40 hours per month
Place of work: Kleine Rosenstraße 1-3, Kassel, or remote
The project seeks to provide labour and other social movements with analytical and strategic tools to build long-term counter-strategies & counter-movements to confront authoritarianism on the basis of a comparative analysis of trade union responses to authoritarianism in eight countries. Your tasks as a student assistant will be (among others, depending on the course of the project):
· Assisting the financial administration of the project
· Providing support with travel planning and booking for an international conference
· Supporting the research of the project
· Providing support with the development of an online course
· Assistance with project publications
Requirements:
· Being enrolled as an MA student at the University of Kassel
· Good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
· Very good English and good German language skills
· Being interested in the topics related to the project
· Having interest in project management and administrative work
· Previous administrative work experience is not required, but a plus.
We offer:
