MA Labour Policies and Globalisation

We are looking for a student assistant (m/f/d) to support the project coordination in the Department 05 – MA Labour Policies and Globalisation (LPG), which is part of the Global Labour University (GLU) network. The GLU offers high-quality education programs for trade unionists and other activists focusing on labour policies responding to the challenges of globalisation. The GLU engages in teaching, research and publication on how globalisation affects the world of work. GLU operates as a network of trade unions, universities, and the ILO to deliver international master programmes, leadership training and massive open online courses (MOOCs) on topics such as workers' rights, social justice, economics and global governance.
Beginning of employment:October 2025
Working hours:approximately 40 hours per month
Place of work:GLU/GPN, Kleine Rosenstraße 1-3, Kassel
The task list includes general support of the GLU coordination as well as support of the financial administration and the coordination of the internships. This entails:
- Assisting the programme coordinator in the implementation of different programme activities
- Providing administrative and technical support to the LPG students
- Assisting the financial administration
- Providing support with planning of the internships
Requirements:
Being currently enrolled as an MA student at the University of Kassel
Knowing your way around the German bureaucracy
Good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
Having interest in project management and administrative work
Very good English and good German language skills
Being interested in the topics related to the work of the GLU network
